Gekka no Kenshin: Last Blade

Gekka no Kenshin or Last blade, was SNK's fighting game patterned after Samurai Spirits. Someone pointed out that Gekka no Kenshin is similar to Rurouni Kenshin as the latter compared to Samurai Spirits. Well it's true that both their settings happened during the Bakumatsu period. As for character concept, they're both worlds apart. Watsuki himself was a great fan of Samurai Spirits, and also he was already working on the manga when the Last Blade was released.

Well I have played Last Blade 1 & 2, but it was not as exciting as Samurai Spirits. There's no Desperation move, no unlimited combo slash and most of all, there's no dash of death. I remember most of my high school life was spent on Samurai Spirits. The joy of victory and the agony of defeat. Chopping and embarrassing the opponents with combo slashes. Err but my friends got the title as the feared hitokiri of Samurai Spirits.
