Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Shodown

The first time I saw the Rurouni Kenshin tv ad, the very first thing that came into my mind was Samurai Shodown game. So I watched it and much to my dismay it wasn't Nakoruru and Shizumaru but Kenshin and Kaoru. Yeah I admit I watched Rurouni Kenshin because I thought it was Samurai Shodown. It's no wonder since Nobuhiro Watsuki likes Samurai Shodown too.

Shizumaru Hisame
Has red hair tied at the back

Orphaned at a young age and was raised by his
Sensei Haomaru (who strangely looks a lot like
Hiko). He mastered the sword techniques and
went out to fight at the age of 15 years. He
became a wanderer in search for the devil only
to realize that it is within him. Take note he had
the final shodown with his sensei, depending
on your skills it up to you to defeat your
sensei

Himura Kenshin
Has red hair tied at back.

Orphaned at a young age also, and was trained and raised by his Sensei Hiko. After mastering the skills at the age of 15 years. He went out to fight for the Ishin shishi. He became a wanderer when he realized that killing is wrong. Few years later he was able to defeat his Sensei to teach him the secret technique.

Haohmaru
likes sake, muscular

He took orphaned Shizumaru Hisame under his wing and trained him every sword skill he knew. He like drinking sake

Hiko Seijuurou
likes sake, muscular

He took orphaned Kenshin under his wing and taught him eveything. He also likes drinking sake.

Nakoruru
Age: 17
Wears red bow

She prefers to protect nature and willing to fight for it. She chose her mission to protect nature rather than her love for Galford.

Kamiya Kaoru
Age: 17
Wears pink bow

Unlike Nakoruru, she stands firm for the one she loves and willing to fight for it.

Rimururu

She's strong minded and very much brave fighter at a young age. She's willing to take risk just to fight for mother nature.

Makimachi Misao

She's also brave and very optimistic. However she acts before she thinks and sometimes could endanger her life

Kibagami Genjuro

Bloodthirsty and looking forward to more bloodshed. He's also a begruntled student of Caffein Nicotine. He likes the taste of blood, after victory he makes a move like he's drinking something on the saucer presumably the blood of his opponents.

Shishio

Well I couldn't find any Shishio's pic before he was burned but if you have watched the series you can see a glimpse of Shishio during his younger years. Anyway Genjuro and him look exactly alike and they both like the taste of blood.
