America it is known as Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal.
This OVA, without a doubt in my mind, is one of the finest examples of
what anime has to offer. It delivers everything you could possibly want - a great story, fantastic action, and emotional characters.
You don't have to have seen Rurouni Kenshin to enjoy this OVA; it doesn't hurt though since the story will make a lot more sense.
See why many people consider this OVA to be one of the best animes ever.
