Himura
Kenshin
vs.
Hiruma Gohei
As
the first actual fight between Kenshin and someone
in the television series, it is known to be one of
the shortest. A landslide victory was what Kenshin
earned, and he did it with ease. Hiruma Gohei had
confronted Kaoru in the Kamiya Dojo, wanting revenge.
Years prior, Kaoru's father had broken Gohei's right
thumb, forcing him to learn kenjutsu with his left
hand. Gohei had planned to actually kill Kaoru, but
he was then confronted by Kenshin, merely known as
only a rurouni at the time. |
Simply,
Kenshin knocked out Gohei's men with his Sakabatou
and revealed himself to be the Hitokiri Battousai,
whom Gohei claimed he was. Gohei, arrogant as ever,
said the title of the legendary Hitokiri was his for
the taking and readied for a downward stroke. However,
Kenshin had leapt up before Gohei brought down his
sword and revealed the first Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu
technique of his arsenal, the Ryu Tsui Sen, breaking
Gohei's thumb in the process. |
