Himura
Kenshin
vs.
Hannya
|
Having
to save the kidnapped Megumi from Kanryu, Kenshin
had encountered Hannya in Kanryu's mansion's hallway.
A fight began immediately, as Hannya had orders
from his leader, Aoshi, to deal with Kenshin. The
battle started off with Hannya throwing a simple
punch. Kenshin had dodged it, or so he thought.
To his surprise, Kenshin was punched directly in
the face and knocked down with a following backhand.
Hannya tried to hit Kenshin while on the ground
with a strong fist, but luckily Kenshin evaded.
There was something fishy, and Kenshin knew it.
Using his Sakabatou, he extended it out into a horizontal
position, a defense stance known as Shinken.

Again,
Hannya charged forward and threw a punch directed
at Kenshin's face. This time, however, Kenshin was
able to avoid it. As he moved away, with his scabbard,
Kenshin nailed Hannya in the face, causing half of
his mask to fall off. At last, Kenshin had discovered
Hannya's secret, the horizontal stripes on his arms
shorter than they appeared. Without wasting anymore
time, Hannya charged forward, metal claws extended.
Kenshin had blocked Hannya's oncoming attack. The
two warriors jumped away from each other, leaping
off the walls opposite to each other in the narrow
hallway and attacked one another. It was Hannya who
was defeated and Kenshin who left with a minor cut
to his right shoulder. |
