Himura
Kenshin
vs.
Udou Jin'e
|
Police
Chief Uramura had confronted Kenshin at the Kamiya
Dojo during lunch one day to ask if he could assist
in the capture of a serial killer named the Kurogasa.
The Kurogasa was only killing high ranking officials
of the Meiji Government, so Kenshin took the offer.
The next place the Kurogasa was to strike was a
man by the name of Tani, whom Kenshin knew from
the past when he was the Battousai. Sano had tagged
along for no reason, he just wanted to fight. Midnight
struck and the screams of the policemen were heard
outside. Expecting the murderer, Kenshin, Sano,
and a bunch of hired swordsmen awaited his arrival,
but suddenly were paralyzed.

The
Kurogasa made his appearence. Before he could begin
killing anyone, Kenshin revealed that only he was
not paralyzed. Leaping from behind Sano, Kenshin
had tried to strike down the Kurogasa in one hit,
but ended up only cutting his hat. Both men looked
at each other and recognized their alternate identities.
The Kurogasa was a Hitokiri of the Shinsen Gumi
whose real name is Udou Jin'e, and of course, Kenshin
was the Hitokiri Battousai. Jin'e wanted to fight
the legendary Hitokiri after waiting for such a
long time. To start off, he used the Shin no Ippou
paralysis technique. That did no good, as Kenshin
already demonstrated he could not be affected by
it.

Sano
somehow shook off the Shin no Ippou, grabbed a statue,
and swung it down at Jin'e. With ease, Jin'e sidestepped,
but Kenshin wasted no time beginning a swordfight
with the Kurogasa following. Kenshin and Jin'e were
an equal match up until the time Jin'e found an
opening and cut Kenshin's left arm slightly. Disappointed,
Jin'e left the scene, demanding that Kenshin change
back into the Battousai, rather than a non-killing
rurouni, and fight for real for their next encounter.
Without the Kurogasa's presence, everyone else was
freed from the Shin no Ippou.
