The number
two of Enishi's organization, Wu Hei Shin, is the strategist
behind the Jinchuu campaign. He joined forces with Enishi
prior to his return to Japan, supplying the young man
with whatever he desired, only in exchange that he later
be given the top position when Jinchuu was carried out.
Hailing from Shanghai, Hei Shin is usually seen with four
hulking bodyguards known as the Four Stars. He isn't
a fighter himself, thus, has to rely on his four loyal
servants to protect him at all times.
At one point
in time, when Enishi's hideaway island was discovered,
Hei Shin and his partner had a disagreement, which led
to a split up between the two. Hei Shin claimed the organization
for himself and wanted to carry out Enishi's revenge himself,
but failed in doing so. After learning of what he had
done, Enishi knocked out Hei Shin before his fight with
Kenshin. However, Hei Shin struggled to his feet and shot
the rurouni in the right shoulder after the succession
techniques of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu and Watoujutsu
had met. This time, Enishi was on the verge of killing
Hei Shin, but ironically, it was Kenshin who stopped Enishi
from tearing his former partner apart. Once the situation
was settled, Hei Shin and the Four Stars were arrested,
and it's assumed that they thrown into jail for their
numerous crimes and ties to the black market.
