Inui is a
thickheaded individual who likes to fight just as much
as he enjoys boasting. He is trained in the Jushiki Muteki
Ryuu; his master being Tatsumi, leader of the Dark Arts
group that had tried to kill Hitokiri Battousai off. Because
his master was killed by Battousai, Inui joined Enishi's
Jinchuu cause. However, it wasn't actually revenge that
he had sought. Instead, he used his master's death as
an excuse to simply bash some heads in.
Worn on Inui's
wrists are wristguards called 'tekkou'. They are formed
so that any bladed weapon can be parried. At first, Inui
thought his armor was invincible, until Sanosuke damaged
them. His original pair was replaced by a refined set
as a gift from Enishi. Yet, that pair was left completely
broken after Sanosuke busted them with a Futae no Kiwami
in their second encounter at the Kamiya Dojo.
As a result
of the underestimation of his opponent, Inui was defeated
and left to be arrested after the conflict. It is unknown
what happened to him in the end.
