Turquoise
During the
Tokugawa Era, Jin'e was a member of the Shinsen Gumi.
He was an above average hitokiri who was only loyal to
himself and the art of murder. By time the Meiji Era was
dawning, Jin'e had suddenly turned his back on Mibu's
wolves to avoid penalities and joined the Ishin Shishi
without a second thought.
Throughout
the Meiji Era, Jin'e worked as a serial killer under the
nickname the Black Hat, killing men who held high ranks
in the Meiji Government. His employer was a man named
Shibumi, an ex-Ishin Shishi and member of the diet. It's
not known if Jin'e actually worked for pay, since he is
an unusually sick individual that enjoys killing just
about anyone, man or woman not being a case.
What Jin'e
wanted the most was to fight the Hitokiri Battousai, Himura
Kenshin. His dream had finally come true when he had succeeded
in kidnapping Kaoru, igniting the flames deep inside Kenshin,
but Jin'e found out that he was of no match. Throughout
their fight, Jin'e had tried to evoke the Battousai out
of Kenshin. It had almost happened until Kaoru overcame
his deadly Shin no Ippou technique to call out Kenshin's
name. Following, Jin'e committed suicide with mixed emotions.
He was glad to have fought the battle he waited all his
life for, but was disappointed that a young woman had
defeated his technique. His last words warned Kenshin
that he'd be watching over the rurouni from the depths
of Hell, just to see how long he would last living a pacifistc
lifestyle.
