Being the
youngest of the Higashidani family, Outa grew up never
knowing his mother, for she had died giving birth to him.
For six years, he was raised by his older sister Uki,
and of course, his hard-working father. Uki had cared
greatly for her little brother, but when Sanosuke came
around and met the younger brother he never knew he had,
Outa wanted to change for the better. He had no longer
wanted to be babied by his older sister; Outa wanted to
become more independent and fight for what he believed
in. Despite his age and his lack of words, Outa was willing
to fight Fudosawa and the men who had threatened to take
over Shinshuu to protect his family. Outa never participated
in battle, but his father was glad to see that his son
had such courage. Before Sanosuke departed from his home
town once again, he told his brother to start learning
a style called Kamiya Kasshin Ryuu in Tokyo if he wanted
to get stronger, and four years later, Outa did just that.
