Before becoming
Shishio's girlfriend, Yumi was one of the highest ranked
geishas in Japan, so she was very pricy to spend a night
with. It is not known actually how Yumi began to tag along
with Shishio, but she had fallen in love with a man wrapped
in bandages. Simply, Yumi was there to support Shishio
and keep him company, although what she really wanted
to do was assist him in battle. Her wish had come true
when she stood in front of Kenshin, begging him not to
kill Shishio when he was nearly defeated. Shishio had
stabbed Kenshin through Yumi, sealing her fate. Currently,
Yumi resides in Hell with Houji, Usui, and others, where
her lover, Shishio, is the ruler.
