Yahiko's Impatience

Yahiko had demanded to learn the Kamiya Kasshin Ryuu succession technique, but his demand led into a big argument with Kaoru. Kenshin hears the commotion in the dojo and tries to see what's going on. As he peeks his head in, however, he is immediately sent flying out. While Kaoru and Yahiko were fighting, Tsubame arrived and was allowed in by Kenshin. From the sounds coming out of the dojo, Tsubame was worried about what was going on, so she decided to peek in.

Kaoru is a bit tired after arguing and fighting with Yahiko, yet Yahiko still demands to learn the succession technique. There are a few good points brought up by Kaoru. Yahiko is most likely the strongest ten year old alive. He has already beaten two opponents in a major fight, Nagaoka Mikio and Kariwa Henya. When Kenshin was ten years old, he was just beginning his training, and as for Sanosuke, he was just starting to develop into a street fighter. Kaoru won't teach the Kamiya Kasshin Ryuu succession technique to Yahiko simply because he is just looking to get stronger. With that said, Kaoru leaves her only pupil in solitude. Yahiko doesn't take the decline of his request so easily. He falls onto his knees and smashes the dojo floor with his fist, mumbling a few curses. Tsubame watches on in pity.

The sun begins to set upon Tokyo. Kenshin looks outside and fears something bad may occur at nighttime. At Shinbashi Station, Inui and Otowa arrive in Tokyo. The two comrades both have set destinations, which they will attack separately at the same time.
