Battousai
charges forward, despite the number of
trees being launched at him by Sumita.
The ax-wielding Dark Arts specialist has
been chosen as the first target to be
taken down, so Battousai focuses on defeating
him first. Yatsume takes advantage of
the situation by sneaking above Battousai
and drilling his claw into his left shoulder.
Sumita follows up by hurling a tree right
into the face of his opponent. However,
Battousai does not go down from the deadly
blow. With one swipe of his sword, Battousai
cuts off Sumita's legs knee high. Out
of exhaustion, Battousai drops his sword
and slumps against a tree. From the tree,
Yatsume drills his claw into Battousai's
right shoulder. Quickly, Battousai draws
his other sword and pins the menacing
pest's hand down to the tree.
Yatsume
tries to remove the sword, but has no
luck. Battousai looks at him directly
in the eyes, causing anger to build up
in the modified body of Yatsume. With
a sudden rage, Yatsume tears his hand
off of the tree. Even though the sword
had ripped through his flesh, Yatsume
flees, swearing to kill Battousai for
seeing his true self, as it is a rule
of his clan.
Battousai
heads over to the helpless Sumita and
asks where his final opponent is. Sumita
answers him, including that Tomoe is with
him. Yet, Sumita won't let Battousai go
without causing him the loss of more senses.
Sumita pulls a trigger hidden in the ground,
causing the explosion of another barrel.
A blinding light emits this time with
the blast.
Intuition,
hearing, and now sight. Battousai has
nearly lost three of his six senses. After
seeing the explosion, Tatsumi figures
it will take the hitokiri a while to get
to him. He turns around and heads for
the shack so he can get rid of Tomoe,
but to his surprise, footsteps are heard
nearby. When he turns around, Tatsumi
comes face-to-face with Battousai.
