Otowa falls
on his back with a eerie look on his face.
His eyes are wide open and has a sinister
smile. The shock from being beaten by
Yahiko has paralyzed him. Both combatants
are now down and out. Yahiko
is treated by Megumi while Kaoru sits
in disbelief at the dojo's entrance, still
trying to get over how Yahiko won by using
the succession technique. Kenshin and
Sanosuke notice something, however. When
they glance up at Enishi, they see a hot-air
balloon basket that had a body present
a few minutes ago is now empty.
Kenshin
turns his head around and tells Kaoru
to get away from the dojo. From the Kamiya
Dojo's ceiling, Yatsume's claw swoops
down at Kaoru. Kenshin saves her just
in the nick of time. Just by looking at
his claw, Kenshin remembers his old foe.
Yatsume perches himself upon the dojo's
roof. His body is refined, as his arms
and legs are longer than normal and his
teeth were sharpened into fangs. Yatsume's
left arm equipped with the claw is incredibly
long, and he brags about how he has been
stretching it for the past fifteen years,
filled with the hatred for Battousai,
the only man to see him and live.
Yatsume
begins explaining why his body is refined.
He belongs to a clan of gold miners, which
he claims is the best. A rule of the clan
is to kill anyone who sees them, thus,
Yatsume promises to take out everyone
on the battlefield that is looking at
him. Out of no where, the scent of a cigarette
is sensed. Sanosuke cannot believe his
eyes when he sees the only Shinsen Gumi
they call immortal, Saitou Hajime.
