Sanosuke comes
face-to-face with Fudosawa and two hundred of
his men with news of his victory over Higashidani.
He complains that the old man wasn't as much of
a challenge as emphasized, since he was taken
out in a single punch. What Sanosuke wants is
to relieve more of his stress, so Fudosawa offers
to be his foe. The large man demonstrates his
power by slapping a nearby boulder with his hand,
leaving an imprint. The technique he calls the
Oni Daoshi is a deadly blow that left the faces
of many sumo wrestlers permanently disfigured.
Fudosawa charges
at Sanosuke and slaps him with the Oni Daoshi.
Nothing. Sanosuke doesn't budge; he simply shrugs
off the attack like it was nothing. The street
fighter returns the blow with a stiff shot to
Fudosawa's chest. Not realizing that his opponent
was so powerful, Fudosawa quickly hides behind
the boulder. Sanosuke chuckles to himself then
hits the boulder with the Futae no Kiwami, bracing
his right wrist with his left hand. The powerful
technique borrowed from Anji, even though suppressed,
reduces the boulder to dust and sends Fudosawa
flying. Still, Sanosuke wants to relieve more
of his stress, so he boldly challenges all two
hundred of Fudosawa's men.
After tucking in
Uki back at home, Outa heads off to Fudosawa's
residence, ready for battle. Before he enters
the fight, however, he sees his father lying face-down
on the path. Outa kneels down at his father's
side as he slowly comes to his senses. Kamishimoemon
looks up at his son with a smile on his face,
proud to see that Outa is trying to become a man
despite being protected and babied by his sister.
Father and son go together to Fudosawa's with
hopes that Sanosuke is all right. By time they
reach their destination, however, the only thing
they see are two hundred bodies all laid out over
the field and one very tired, but very relieved
man standing amongst them.
