Hei Shin
accompanied by the Four Stars enter Enishi's
presence to warn him that the guards have
spotted two police ships approaching the
island. What Hei Shin wants to do is fire
at them so that they cannot dock, but Enishi
disagrees, assuming that Kenshin is on one
of those ships. Not wanting to get physical
with his partner, Hei Shin backs off and
proceeds with a different strategy.
Kenshin,
Yahiko, Sanosuke, Megumi, Aoshi, and Misao
are all on the same ship as Saitou. The
first thing Kenshin asks everyone to do
is lend him their strength, for he is still
not at one hundred percent and needs to
save all of his energy for the battle with
Enishi. Everyone gladly offers to be of
assistance. As they near Enishi's island,
Saitou announces that they shall be docking
soon. However, the sound of an explosion
is heard. The other ship's larboard has
been damaged because of a mine. There are
hundreds of mines spread out in the bay,
making it near impossible to continue on.
Kenshin and the others, along with Saitou,
all board one lifeboat, leaving the rescue
effort to the officers. Misao becomes the
first to lend Kenshin her strength. Using
a technique she calls the Kawasemi no Hashi,
Misao is able to set off mines blocking
their path by hitting them dead on with
her kunai. It's just a matter of time till
they dock.
