Kenshin quickly sheathes
the Sakabatou as Enishi screams down at him from the sky.
Enishi is able to deliver a cut straight across Kenshin's
arm, but he suddenly stops in place when he lands on the
ground. Aoshi and Misao's ears hurt a bit, due to their
enhanced hearing, which could only mean one thing. The Ryu
Mei Sen is a technique where Kenshin reverses the god-speed
of the Battou Jutsu. Instead of withdrawing his sword to
kill instantaneously, he sheathes it, creating a supersonic
sound.
Enishi rises to his feet,
left ear spewing blood. The effect of the Ryu Mei Sen was
much greater on him due to his usage of nerves. Kenshin
commends Enishi for having a great offense, but the downfall
of his strategy is his low defense. To everyone's surprise,
Enishi busts his own eardrum by jamming his finger into
his ear. Nothing will stop him from killing Kenshin, not
even a sharp pain in his ear. Enishi charges at Kenshin
and slams his sword down at the ground. Luckily, all Kenshin
had to do was sidestep to evade. The power generated from
Enishi's blow was so great that it made a path in the sand
all the way to the sea. He tells Kenshin that he has no
need for defense because the one he wanted to defend was
taken by him. Without hesitation, Enishi turns his tachi
upside down and sinks into the stance for the Ko Fuku Zet
Tou Sei. Kenshin understands that he cannot return anything
back to Enishi, but promises to meet his anger as he gets
into the Battou Jutsu stance, preparing the Ama Kakeru Ryuu
no Hirameki.
