About Rurouni Kenshin
It could have been great. It could been one of the greatest anime series of all time.
Of course I am referring to Rurouni Kenshin. The anime series, which is exceptionally
good, could have been much better. However, the anime series caught up to the manga at the time, and was forced to have a season that wasn't directly from the original storyline. This doomed the anime series and the final story arc, which many call the "Revenge Arc," was never animated. There was the horribly made Seisouhen (or future) OVAs but that was not the true ending to Kenshin (at least in my opinion). So where is the true ending? Right here of course. Witness the final story of Rurouni Kenshin the way it was meant to be.

I would like to emphasize that these manga scans are here to increase
Rurouni Kenshin's popularity. Many fans of the anime series want to view
what takes place after the anime storyline finishes, and that is why I am
hosting these scanlations. I won't host early volumes because I encourage
everyone to go out and purchase them from
Viz Media. I own them myself and I can say they are definitely worth
the money!
On top of owning the English Rurouni Kenshin manga, I also own the Japanese versions.
If you compare the two it's pretty obvious which one is of higher quality. The English version of course; the paper is
better and the ink is darker. I've seen complaints online about why English manga cost more than
Japanese manga and the main reason is because of the quality. Since in Japan there are many more people
buying manga the companies who distribute manga there can sell it for less since they sell more of it.
This got me thinking: the English manga release will never lower in cost unless more people buy it. So
if you can, please support the Viz Media
release. Rurouni Kenshin is hands down one of, if not the best samurai series out there, and it would be a great
addition to anyone's bookshelf.

Information & Rotation
The manga scans you will find on this site are ones created by fans. They are not scanned versions of the licensed English versions. On the topic of licensed manga series, I do host licensed series unlike many sites that take down manga scans when they get licensed.
I feel that showcasing the series actually helps in sales. I usually do not host entire series (usually just the beginning or latter volumes) so people tend to purchase the actual graphic novels when they find out how good they are.
As for the fansubbed manga scans, they are created by manga scanlation groups. You can get a full list of groups over at Manga Jouhou. These groups create these fansubs for the fans - I simply distribute
them online. Within each series you will certainly see information pertaining to the groups that created the manga scans. Please support the groups by visiting their web site or mIRC channel.
At Spectrum Nexus we try to offer viewers a wide variety of manga series.
For that reason I have implemented a
manga rotation. Certain long series, such as Hajime no Ippo
(well over 80 volumes long), are under this manga rotation scheme because I can't host
all of the volumes at once. The rotation
consists of showing a set amount of volumes, then every Monday or Thursday they will
rotate out and in will come a new batch. I have found this helps on the
servers and allows me to keep this site up without ever asking for donations.
