11/6 · It's been far too long since a new shoujo series has been added hasn't it? After all, there are more girls than boys on this site. I've tried to justify the yaoi additions as something for the ladies, but that's not enough! You need a good series to read like this:

About Beck Monglian Chop Squad
Judging from the top image, you might be thinking, "How in the world can a series about music be good on paper?" That's initially what I thought when I first heard of Beck, but it works quite well as you can see in the anime/manga review. Beck is about a young boy named Koyuki and his adventure to be the next big thing in the rock music world. Koyuki joins the band "Beck," which is also named "Mongolian Chop Squad" overseas, and he embarks on going from a garage band to touring with some of the biggest bands out there. The series gives tons of rock references and me, being a big rock fan, enjoyed each and every one of them. The characters in Beck truly shine and make the series a definite must-see.

One of my biggest gripes about Beck is the anime counterpart. Sure it got a high score but that's only because it had great material to work from. The truth is, in my opinion, Beck the anime series could have a lot better. This is one reason I am hosting the manga. It is much more entertaining than the anime in my opinion.
The humor and the pacing of the story is better in the manga; I felt the anime series dragged on a bit and only got entertaining towards the end of the series. By then of course it was too late, the anime was over. Thankfully the manga series spans double, probably going on triple, what the anime series had to show us.

Manga Scan Information
The manga scans you will find on this site are ones created by fans. They are not scanned versions of the licensed English versions. On the topic of licensed manga series, I do host licensed series unlike many sites that take down manga scans when they get licensed. I feel that showcasing the series actually helps in sales. I usually do not host entire series (usually just the beginning or latter volumes) so people tend to purchase the actual graphic novels when they find out how good they are. As for the fansubbed manga scans, they are created by manga scanlation groups. You can get a full list of groups over at Manga Jouhou. These groups create these fansubs for the fans - I simply distribute them online. Within each series you will certainly see information pertaining to the groups that created the manga scans. Please support the groups by visiting their web site or mIRC channel.
