Death Note is an amazing series that shows us the world of Light Yagami and his journey to rid the world of evil. His beliefs are pure, but is killing criminals a moral/ethical way
to help the world? I'll leave this debate to your Philosophy 101 class. All I know is that there are people that worship Kira, Light's alias, and there are others in the series that
believe he is worst than the criminals themselves. L, one of the world's most famous detectives, has seen what Kira can do and has made it his goal to stop him. To me, L versus Kira is
one of the best rivalries in all of anime! Death Note is an immersive battle of wits that leaves the viewers guessing what will happen next.

Death Note is a series that was so popular in Japan it was licensed right away in America.
Viz Media
has licensed Death Note and they are releasing the series at a blistering pace. I don't know the exact schedule, but I do know after I purchased the first few volumes I was glad to see
even more volumes up on the shelf in a matter of a few weeks. Death Note isn't very long, but it doesn't need to be. In fact I don't know the exact word count but I feel that Death Note
has more words in it than series double its length!
I've heard that Death Note has ended at volume 12, so investing in that many volumes wouldn't be too much of a strain on the wallet.
The wonderful battle between Kira and L alone is worth purchasing this series. I saw Death Note in stores, remembered how great it was, and quickly made the purchase. No buyer's remorse, no dissapointment.
Death Note is truly one of the best page-turners out there so do yourself a favor and buy it!

Manga Scan Information
The manga scans you will find on this site are ones created by fans. They are not scanned versions of the licensed English versions. On the topic of licensed manga series, I do host licensed series unlike many sites that take down manga scans when they get licensed.
I feel that showcasing the series actually helps in sales. I usually do not host entire series (usually just the beginning or latter volumes) so people tend to purchase the actual graphic novels when they find out how good they are.
As for the fansubbed manga scans, they are created by manga scanlation groups. You can get a full list of groups over at Manga Jouhou. These groups create these fansubs for the fans - I simply distribute
them online. Within each series you will certainly see information pertaining to the groups that created the manga scans. Please support the groups by visiting their web site or mIRC channel.
